iRobot was one of the first brands to introduce a robot vacuum cleaner almost 20 years ago. Now its got a competition. Roborock has created a bit of a situation for iRobot with its budget-friendly yet feature-packed robot vacuum cleaners. Today we’re going to compare the Roborock E25, Roborock E35, and the Roborock S50. The S50 is a bit expensive than the two E series models, but let’s see if it offers value for the more significant price tag or not.
Our Verdict
Quick Navigation
The Roborock products offer some features which aren’t available on some other budget-oriented vacuum cleaners. Out of the two budget options – the Roborock E25 and Roborock E35, the latter is a better choice. Though the design and aesthetics are pretty much the same, you get some bonus features on the E35, such as better suction power and longer run time. But if you can spill out some extra cash, then there is a clear winner the Roborock S50, which offers a better value of money with some advanced features that are not available on the other two models.

Differences
1. Battery And Runtime
One of the significant differences between the three products is that the E25 has a smaller 2600 Mah battery life, which results in a shorter runtime. It still offers 100 minutes of runtime, which is more than the other budget-oriented vacuum cleaners.
The E35 and the S50 come with a massive 5200 Mah battery and offer up to 150 minutes of runtime, which is sufficient enough for a complete cleanup of a big area.
What impresses me the most is that even though the E35 is targeted as a budget device, it still offers the same runtime as the more expensive S50.
The E35 and the S50 are clear winners, in my opinion.
2. Dustbin Capacity
When it comes to smart cleaning devices, the dustbin capacity should be kept in mind. You don’t want to empty the bin mid-cleaning again and again. That’s where both the cheaper models Roborock E25 and Roborock E35 have the edge over the Roborock S50. While the S50 can hold up to 500 ml only, the E25 and E35 can hold up to 640 ml of dirt and debris.
Another plus point is that the dustbins on every model are washable, so you don’t have to worry about the cleaning of the trash.
All three devices come with a mapping system that lets the robots create a digital map of your home and helps in better and efficient cleaning. The map can be seen in the Mi Home app and also shows which areas the robots have covered.
There is also another feature which is called ”Inertial Navigation” which means that your Robot vacuum will move in a straight path rather than in a zig-zag way. Straight navigation will result in better cleaning.
The E25 and E35 use a gyroscope sensor to create a digital map. In contrast, the S50 uses LDS ( Laser distance sensor) or a LIDAR sensor, which will result in Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) movement. This will provide more accurate mapping data, and the RobotRobot will follow that map.
4. Digital Blocking of Areas
Sometimes there are areas where you don’t want the Robot vacuum to go. That’s where the digital blocking feature comes in handy. You can set the blocked-off regions of the Mi Home app, and the Robot will skip those areas and continue to clean everywhere else.
Unfortunately, this feature is only available on the Roborock S50 and not on the Roborock E25 and Roborock E35. This is one premium feature that you get for paying extra money.
You can block specific areas for the E25 and E35 using magnetic strips on your floors, but you’ll have to buy them separately.
5. Suction Power
What’s the use of a vacuum cleaner if it lacks good suction power. Thankfully that’s not the case with these robot vacuum cleaners. The E35 and the S50 have better suction power at 2000 Pa than the E25’s 1800 Pa. It’s not a significant difference in power, but it is noticeable during the cleaning.
Picking up dirt and debris from hardwood and even carpets is very easy on both the models with higher suction power. The E25 also does a good job, but it leaves some particles on the floor.
Similarities
1. Vacuum And Mopping Combination
All these models support the dual-functionality of Vacuum as well as mopping. The robots come equipped with an on-board water reservoir, and you can attach the reusable mopping cloth provided by the company—this a common feature in the E25, E35, and the Roborock S50.
The mopping quality may not be as good as traditional mopping, but it’s nice to know that the feature is there. It’s suitable for some light cleaning.
2. Automatic Charging And Resume
The three models support automatic charging and resume features, which means that the Robot will return to its charging dock once the battery is low and will start cleaning again when the battery is entirely or at least 80% charged.
It’s been a welcome addition as no other budget robot vacuum cleaner has that feature. They support automatic charging, but the resume option is not there.
3. Washable HEPA Quality Filter
All three Roborock models come equipped with a washable HEPA quality filter. What we mean by HEPA quality is that the companies don’t get the HEPA certification anymore, maybe to save costs. But the filters that are present in these robots are the same that would go through the proper certification.
A washable filer gives you peace of mind as you don’t have to worry about the filters now and then. You can simply take them out and wash them yourself. But it is better to replace the filters after a year to ensure the life of the RobotRobot and the best cleaning experience.
4. Anti-drop Sensors
If you want to clean an upstairs room with the Robot, then you can do that too. These smart robots are smart enough not to fall down the stairs. There are anti-drop sensors installed in the robots, and even the cheapest Roborock E25 is fall-proof.
