Ring Spotlight Cam Not Connecting -Troubleshooting Guide

1. Try Unplugging.

There can be various reasons for your cam not working, one of which could be plugging in the wrong wiring system. Thus, it is advised to remove the plugs for over a minute or so to get your Ring Spotlight to restart without any trouble.

Since, this step only takes a minute, accordingly, you are instructed to go through the plugs as a first step to fix your Ring Spotlight Cam:

• To unplug the Ring, first, remove the router for a minute.
• Wait for one minute or more.
• Once your router is all powered up, go through the same procedure.
• Then plug it back again.

2. Check the Status of Your Camera on the Ring App.

One of the easiest way to fix your Ring camera can also be done by checking the status of your camera on the Ring App.

• To do that, you will have to check the WiFi status on your device.
• Once it is connected, then move to the Ring app.
• Open the Ring app on your Android device or iOS device.
• Select the device which is causing trouble.
• Then a device’s health status will pop up.
• Check whether it is showing offline.
• If yes, then change the status to online to fix the issue.
• Place the device towards the router for a better connection to get your Ring Spotlight fixed.

3. Ensure The Battery is Receiving Power.

One of the ways to solve the Ring Spotlight Camera can be done by checking the battery of the device.

• Check the batteries that you are using.
• Double-check the batteries every time.
• Replace the bad batteries with new ones.
• Your issue is solved with no professional help.

It is again advised to remove the plugs for over a minute or so to get your Ring Spotlight to restart without any trouble. Since this step only takes a minute, accordingly, you are instructed to go through the plugs as the last step to fix your Ring Spotlight Cam.

4. If You Have a Wired Device, Check Your Outlet.

• The most straightforward way to do this is to unplug your router, wait for around 30 seconds, and it is done.
• Check whether it is showing offline.
• If yes, then change the status to online to fix the issue.
• Place the device towards the router for a better connection to get your Ring Spotlight fixed.

5. Use set up mode.

Your Ring Camera can also be fixed with the help of the setup mode without any trouble.

All you have to do is to follow the given steps:

• Roll on the camera, hold it up for it to completely begin, and then hold down the reset button on top of it for 30 seconds.
• Broadcast the regulator and look for the status light on the floor of the camera to twinkle.
• The blink simply implies it’s resetting.
• If it doesn’t begin twinkling, you are either holding down to restart the regulator, or just too long or too short.
• Repeat the first step, and it should work.
• Hold down the setup button on your cam for 20 seconds. It should reboot in setup mode and may reconnect on its own.
