Method 1: Open Door And Look For Latch Plate
Firstly, open the door and search for the latch plate. You will mostly find this along the door’s edge. Unscrew this plate using a screwdriver and remove the latch. The latch removal is optional.

Now look for a small screw. This is mostly at the base of the handle. Using a screwdriver, unscrew this screw. Then grab the interior trim in one hand and exterior in another. Try pulling them apart with both hands. This small set screw is usually holding them together. With that unscrewed, it will come off easily.

Now study the interior of the door including the trim and handles. You will find a small keyhole or a pinhole near the handle. This will be used to release the interior handle. Use a straightened paper clip for this purpose and open the interior handle. Once this is released you can manually pull the lock apart.

Pry the interior of the handle. Just study all the levers or handles using a screwdriver. So, you don’t get pricked by any sharp components. Look for some hidden screws. Unscrew them and you can pull the lock apart.
Step 4: Check For Small Notches
Check out for small notches. These depressions are found in old doorknobs. Using a screwdriver, release the depression. Now you will see a wire wrapped around the trim. Press the wire manually with the screwdriver and the exterior end of the lock will come out by hand.

Here in this step, one must locate the door lock position correctly. Once this is done, we can start working on this method. A few tools that will be essential here are a screwdriver and a safety pin. In case you don’t have a safety pin you can use a slim metal knife or anything metal.

Removal Of Door Lock From Outside
Removing a door lock is a very easy task if you have the right tools. Simply pierce the orifice with a slotted screwdriver. To avoid damaging the lock, go slowly. Apply the force only as per need. Pull the lever door knob out along the shaft while holding it. That’s it, the lever door handle is no longer functional.
Removal Of Yakima Lock Core Without Key
There are two types of Yakima keys, Non-SNS keys, and SNS keys. Each Yakima lock core comes with a unique number which is also the same as the lock. The simplest way is to use a control key. A control key is an uncut key. U can also use a lock picking set and a small screwdriver.
